The network drives can be accessed via the Rumba service through a browser http://rumba.huji.ac.il.
After signing in with a RA username and password, the virtual machines will be opened for the academic staff and students, sign in to Myplace with the EKMD username and password and you will have access to the software installed on the public computers and also to the personal and public folders.
More over, the network drives can be mapped manually. This kind of mapping is the more convenient way of working with EKMD drives from home.
The mapping only works with Rumba VPN client and can only be done by people who have full control privileges.
First, we must connect to Rumba VPN (with an OTP card or with one time password). After connecting properly:
Go to This PC and press on the buttons according to this picture:
Then do the following steps in the window that opens:
In number 2 please write: \\vscifs.cc.huji.ac.il\ekhomesl2\your username
Then you should enter your ekmd username in the format: username@ekmd

On the finder manu bar, click GO > Connect to Server…
The following window will open:
In the Server Address box please write: \\vscifs.cc.huji.ac.il\ekhomesl2\your username
Then you should enter your ekmd username in the format: username@ekmd
First, we must connect to Rumba VPN (with an OTP card or with one time password). After connecting properly:
Click on the File Explorer:
Find 'This PC', right click on it and then click on Map Network Drive
On the folder address bar copy the path of the desired drive. For the public drive. enter: \\132.64.169.146\public
Mark Reconnect at sign in and connect using different credentials. Click on finish. Enter your EKMD username and password.
If everything went OK, the new network drive will be shown on File explorer. You can excess it only after connecting to Rumba.
This process must be repeated also for the H drive. The drive address is differs from person to person. You must enter your personal address drive.
