Remarks:

•  Using the VPN service requires an RA account. If you have not registered yet, you can open an account at http://rap.huji.ac.il

•  CS users do not need to register, but should use their OTP card

 • If Mac's software was updated, a reinstallation may be required

 

Step 1

Go to https://samba.huji.ac.il/download

 

Step 2

Enter your RA account username and password (user%ra)

For CS users:

 

Enter your username and OTP password (user:otp%tcs)

Step 3

Choose your OS (Macintosh)

Step 4

Save the installation file on your computer

 

Step 5

Double-click the file and run the package that appears in the window that opens

 

Step 6

Click continue

 

Step 7

Click continue

 

Step 8

Click agree 

 

Step 9

Click install

 

Step 10

Type your computer username and password, and then click install the software

 

Step 11

Click Close when the installation is complete

 

Step 12

When the installation is complete, there is no need to save the installation file, so it can be moved to the trash

 

Step 13

Run the VPN app. It is located in the folder Cisco inside the applications folder

 

Step 14

Type the address samba.huji.ac.il

 

Level 15

Type your RA account username (user%ra) and password (or OTP password)

 

For CS users:

Type your username and OTP password (user:otp%tcs)

Level 16

To disconnect, click the VPN icon on the top of the screen. And then click disconnect. Alternatively, you can click disconnect at the VPN app window
