Manual settings for Windows 8.1/10

 

 

Step 1

  • Right click the start menu
  • Click on computer management

Choose services

  • Right click Wires AutoConfig
  • Choose properties

  • Under startup type choose Manual
  • Press start
  • Press ok

  • Right click the start button
  • Choose network connections

Choose change adapter options

Step 7

Right click Ethernet or local area connection and choose properties

Step 8

  • Under the authentication tab
  • Make sure the option Enable IEEE 802.1X authentication is checked
  • Choose the option protected EAP (PEAP), then press settings

Step 9

  • Check the option verify the server’s identity by validating the certificate
  • Check the option connect to these servers and type control.huji.ac.il
  • Check the options Add trusted external CA Root and DigiCert Assured ID Root CA

Step 10

  • Press configure.
  • Make sure the box is not checked
  • Press OK in all windows

Step 11

  • Plug the computer to the communication socket
  • Login using your Samba credentials (user%ra)
  • You cannot login using an OTP
