NOTES:

1. This version is free of charge. Your computer must be connected to HUJI's network
2. A stand alone version is available at the price of 30$ per calendar year. For registration send an email with your name and budget number to: microshop@savion.huji.ac.il 

Insert the installation CD. Begin the installation and follow the instructions

Step 1

 

• Create the directory /opt/mathematica


• Create the sub directory 10.0


• Go to the installation folder on the CD: media/Mathematica/Unix/Installer using the cdcommand. Note that in some Linux distributions, there might be another folder between media and Mathematica.
• Launch the installation using /MathInstaller

Step 2

Type in the following folder: /opt/Mathematica/10.0 and press ENTER

Step 3

Type y and press ENTER

Step 4

 

• Press ENTER


• Next, type Mathematica in the console and press ENTER

Step 5

Click Other ways to activate

Step 6

Select Connect to a network license server

Step 7

 

• Type the server name mathlm.huji.ac.il


• Click Activate

Step 8

 

• Check the box next to I accept the terms of this agreement


• Click OK
