Wireless communication, also called WIFI (Wireless Fidelity)-

The university has many access points that allow access to three main wireless networks:

  • HUJI-Guest- Open network for guests (does not allow access to databases)
  • Eduroam- an international project that allows access to networks in all universities with a university username and password (instructions for opening a RA account)
  • HUJI-Dorm- an existing network in some of the dormitories, an open network

The university constantly invests and expands access points. Today most of the public areas are networked, including many classrooms and halls;

The university and faculties prioritize the degree of investment in the demand, teaching and research needs, as well as the constraints resulting from one physical structure or another, and therefore there are points that are not covered or where the bandwidth is low. You can always contact us to clarify or raise the need for wireless access, specify exactly where you encountered a difficulty and we will be happy to provide a response if possible/ in the planning or what can be done to promote the project.
