Downloading and Installing

VPN-client - is an installed connection program that enables access to the University network.  Through the client, users may access University databases and journals. Authentication using an OTP card provides extended services, including Remote Desktop, FTP and telnet.

• Download: Use this link to download https://samba.huji.ac.il/download.  In order to download you will need to authenticate using your RA account.
• System Requirements
  • Windows 7, 8, 10 32 and 64 bit
  • Mac OS X version 10.7 and later using Intel architecture
  • Linux x86-64: Ubuntu,SuSE,Slackware,RedHat, Fedora versions are supported.
  • Android- System 4 and above
  • IOS- 4.1 and above.  For iPad 4.2 and above.

• Download Cisco AnyConnect from the AppStore.
• Run Cisco AnyConnect.
• Enter the server name - samba.huji.ac.il, in the "Connect to" field.
• Press "Select".
• Enter the Username (in the form of "username%ra") in the Username field, and the password in the "Password" field.
• Press Connect.

Android

• Download Cisco AnyConnect from Google Play.
• For Samsung Knox use only Cisco AnyConnect Samsung
• Run Cisco AnyConnect
• Enter the server name - samba.huji.ac.il, in the "Connect to" field.
• Press "Select".
• Enter the Username (in the form of "username%ra") in the Username field, and the password in the "Password" field.
• Press Connect.
